CALL US TODAYEpoxy floor coatings consist of a two-part system to form a durable surface. Once applied to concrete, it forms a smooth, seamless layer that’s strong, long-lasting, and easy to clean. We most commonly apply this coating in garages and warehouses, but it can be applied in other commercial spaces due to its ability to support heavy traffic, resist spills, and maintain aesthetics. It can also be customised with colours and top finishes, such as matte, satin, or gloss. Please don’t hesitate to discuss your needs with our resin floor contractors, who will happily provide a free, no-obligation quote.
Read on for a quick guide to the materials we use during the application process:
The application process involves 4 key steps to ensure a long-lasting, high-performance flooring solution. These include:
First, the surface is thoroughly cleaned and inspected for damage. Any cracks or holes in the concrete are repaired using epoxy filler or patching compounds, ensuring a smooth and aesthetically pleasing finish at your Guildford or Twickenham premises.
Next, our resin floor contractors will begin the diamond grinding process to remove contaminants and create a smooth, porous surface that allows our epoxy floor coatings to bond effectively.
Once prepared, the 2-part epoxy resin is mixed and applied evenly across the floor using rollers and squeegees. Multiple layers of our high-build epoxy coating can be applied for extra strength.
Finally, the curing process begins, which involves a chemical reaction between the resin and hardener, and typically takes 24-72 hours. This stage is when the water-based coating is applied to achieve the desired finish.
